Over the weekend I had decided to paint an old stationary box that I had found in one of the drawers on my desk. Unfortunately by the time I thought to take pictures of the process I had already painted the box, so I don't have pictures of what it used to look like. Since the box is going to be used for something I am please with the way that it turned out. Rosebud had always been the crafty one in the family. On Thursday the theater class that she is in, is having their Christmas party and she made a Nativity scene for the White Elephant that they are doing and it is adorable. Though you can't see him very well baby Jesus is in the manger.

Even though Christmas is almost here I thought that it would be fun to share some Christmas themed craft ideas that I have found on Pinterest. One craft idea that I found was making star ornaments out of old sweaters and thought that it was a cute idea. Unfortunately there wasn't a pattern for this anywhere that I could find Another homemade Christmas ornament idea that I found was making handprint snowmen, which can be found here .  This adorable Frozen ornament, that I found on an Etsy shop , is a cute idea.  These Mason Jar Lid Snowmen ornaments look adorable and easy to make.

Sunday night I was feeling kind of bored so I decided to start making paper snowflakes since it is after Thanksgiving and still a reasonable time to start making them. A while ago I had found something that has patterns for making snowflakes on Pinterest and I tried one of the patters and this is what it ended up looking like: These are two snowflakes that I made using a pattern that I came up with instead of trying to follow one of the patterns that I had found.

--- 1 --- Last week on Saturday four out of six siblings had rehearsal all day for their upcoming Christmas play "The Conversion of Scrooge,"and Aaliyah was helping out at a food pantry in the morning. So it was just me, my mom and Amanda at home, so we decided to stop over at Hobby Lobby to do some shopping. --- 2 --- Even though I usually don't like to start my Christmas shopping until after Thanksgiving I found some crafts to add to presents. For the three kids that I nanny I got them each an ornament that you could color, though I already did that. For the oldest girl that I nanny as part of her Christmas present from me I got a canvas bag and decorated it. But now that Thanksgiving is over I can start looking for the rest of the presents that I need. --- 3 --- At the end of August we started doing a clean eating plan thing and one of the smoothie recipes that you get with it is a peanut butter smoothie and I really like it so I decided to share it here

Before my NaNo story decided that it didn't want to really follow the plot idea that I had in my head, I made a couple covers using the plot ideas that I had. I also have a cool cover idea that I want to try, but I don't know when it's going to happen.

Even though I don't think it's the best thing that I have ever written in my life I finished my NaNo story with 51,372 words total. If I do NaNo next year I was thinking of doing a second part for this year's story.

While I am not working on them all in the same day I have three different knitting projects going on at the moment. The first project that I started making was a blanket and I started working on that over a year ago. Project number two is a rug. This one only came about because one day I randomly decided that I wanted to give t-shirt yarn a try since I had a bunch of old t-shirts laying around. The last project is a pair of hand warmers for TJ because he asked me to make him a pair. Because it is the smallest project and the easiest to transport the hand warmers will be the first project that I finish.

Tonight, last night, or whatever time it is when you read this, but anyhow tonight my college had a Night Write In for NaNoWriMo. Even though I was the only one who showed up for it I was surprised at how well I was able to focus on my writing, though I did take a short break here and there to check things like Facebook. The lady who was running the event was really nice and she told me that at the kick off party that they had at my college for NaNo there was ten people who showed up. Where they were tonight I don't know, because they missed out on free treats. Besides the free treats there was also some writing prompts to use in case you got stuck. - 1 - Last weekend was my cousin's wedding, which was a lot of fun. Even though it was kind of dark in the hall where the reception was held I was able to take a couple pictures. This week's theme for Theme Thursday is crack and here is my rendition.

In preparation for winter and chillier weather in general I made another scarf. The yarn that I used for this project was spun and dyed by my friend Elena.  I could have made the scarf longer, but I ran out of yarn before I could. So it could work for a smaller child, though Julie makes a wonderful model for the scarf.  Or, as I decided the other night after I finished making the scarf, you could use it under your coat without having to deal with a longer scarf.  Now that I am done with this project I can go back to working on the blanket that I have been knitting since last year.
