Knitting

Image
Since I haven't talked about the knitting project(s) that I am currently working on, I thought I would bring you all up to date. Back in July I mentioned that I was working on another baby blanket . It is currently still a work in progress, though I am getting closer to finishing it. Even though I am almost finished with the blanket I had to stop and take a brake from it because I was tired of working on it and I needed to work on something else. That something else was another blanket, that was originally going to be for me, that I had started working on back at the beginning of the year. While I was working on one of the sections, I remembered that I had an extra skein of yarn in one of the colors that I was making the blanket with and I had an idea. Now I am working on making an infinity scarf using a pattern that I found through Pinterest. I started making it the other day and it looks really pretty. It is a really easy pattern to follow and to memorize. Because it is s

First Week of Advent

Image
Judah shall be safe and Jerusalem dwell secure. We begin Advent coming to the Lord who promises to keep us safe. In awe we say: “To you, O Lord, I lift up my soul!” Psalm 25   Let's begin this week with a deeply felt prayer. Even if we don't know exactly what we need or long for, today, let's try to express our desire for God's help and assistance. The days are coming, says the Lord, when I will fulfill the promise I made to the house of Israel and Judah .     Jeremiah 33   He guides the humble to justice,  he teaches the humble his way.  Psalm 25 May the Lord bless us,  protect us from all evil  and bring us to everlasting life.  Amen.

Life and this Thing called NaNoWriMo

Image
Ever since I started this blog I have posted at some point, either in October or November, that I am doing this thing called National Novel Writing Month or NaNoWriMo for short. This is that post, though it is a little late. If you don't know what NaNoWriMo is, it is done during the month of November and you have to reach 50,000 words by the end of the month. I had been working on my story and had reach 21,762 words when this thing called life caught up with me and sort of pulled me away from my writing. To put it more accurately, I had to go into work earlier one day and then work late, and then I had to do homework for the online class that I am taking at the moment. And on top of that I came down with an annoying cold. When it first showed up on Wednesday morning, other then having the obvious runny nose, I felt fine. But by the time I got home from work it felt like I had been run over by a truck. Thursday morning, I ran off to class with a headach, a wattery eye, sinus

How Much Does He Love Gnomes?

The other night, while at work, I was scrolling through my phone trying to find a poem generator that I liked. The reason that I was looking for it is because one of the characters in the story that I am working on writes a goofy poem. But I didn't like any of the poem generators that I found. In my searching, I can't remember if it was yesterday or today, I came across a song generator that I liked. Here is the song that the generator came up with titled: "How Much Does He Love Gnomes?" He gets on with life as a spy, He's an optimistic kinda chap. He likes rowing boats on Sundays, He likes playing chess in the week. He likes to contemplate tall people. But when he starts to daydream, His mind turns straight to gnomes. Oh oh oh! Sometimes I look at him and I look into his eyes, I notice the way he thinks about gnomes with a smile, Curved lips he just can't disguise. But he thinks it's tall people making his life worthwhile. Why is it so hard for him
