This week's theme for Theme Thursday is crack and here is my rendition.

Knitting Project

Image
In preparation for winter and chillier weather in general I made another scarf. The yarn that I used for this project was spun and dyed by my friend Elena.  I could have made the scarf longer, but I ran out of yarn before I could. So it could work for a smaller child, though Julie makes a wonderful model for the scarf.  Or, as I decided the other night after I finished making the scarf, you could use it under your coat without having to deal with a longer scarf.  Now that I am done with this project I can go back to working on the blanket that I have been knitting since last year.

Falling

This past Friday I finally got around to taking some new fall/leave pictures. I would have taken them sooner then that but it was raining a lot last week. This one looks like it should be the cover of a book

7 Quick Takes Friday

Image
--- 1 --- Since I haven't done a 7 Quick Takes in a while I thought that now would be a good time since I wanted to post some thing this week but couldn't think of anything else to post and this week is almost over anyhow. --- 2 --- On Sunday we went to the Byzantine church for mass and then went out to brunch afterwards. When we came home my dad and some of my siblings cleaned up the bushes and gutters outside and then we went and watched the rest of the Chicago Bears and Atlanta Falcons game. The Bears won. After dinner me, my mom, Yavi, Amanda and her boyfriend watched this weeks episode of Once Upon a Time. "Mummy on the Orient Express", followed after OUAT's episode in our afternoon/evening of staring at the TV screen. --- 3 --- Centipedes occasionally like to crawl around either on the wall or the floor and yesterday there was one hanging out on the wall by the computer that my siblings use. Since my brother, who we usually make kill the centip...

Mein Liebster

Amanda from Books, Roses and Wine...(oh my!) nominated me for the Liebster award. Since I don't remember what this particular award is, so here are the questions that were given to me that I had to answer. 1. If you had a sitcombased on your life, what would it be called?  It would most likely be called "My Boring Life." 2. What food is on the top of your list of things you will never, ever, in a million years eat, and why?  Mushrooms, because they sound  gross,  slimy, and disgusting, so I wouldn't eat them. 3. It's your wedding and your maid-of-honor got appendicitis at the last minute and can't fill in.  Who would you pick to replace her?  (Does not have to be a real person)  Benedict Cumberbatch, which would make for a very interesting and funny reception. 4. A fairy pops up and says that you will be cursed to live in a musical for the rest of your life.  She's nice though, and allows you to choose which musical.  What one woul...

Writing Prompts and NaNoWriMo

Image
This probably the time where I usually go a little more in-depth about what I am thinking about doing for NaNoWriMo , I haven't decided if I actually want to do it this year or not, while doing school. On Pinterest I started a board just for writing prompts and here are a few that I like and would probable use in my writing.

Today Is....

Today is one of those fall days where you just want to stay inside and drink tea. Especially fall flavored tea. Today's 58 degree weather and 19 to 20 mile an hour winds makes it one of the best days to wear a sweater.  The sweater is from Kohl's It is also one of those days where you just want to sit inside all day and read books.
