  See your goal - This goal can be different for everyone. Sometimes people can have the same goal or it can be complete opposites. The point is that you can see your goal and know what it is that you want to do. Understand the obstacles - Obstacles are a part of life that we all face at some point. What those look like will change over time. Especially when we jump from object to object. But they are something that can be understood and worked through to make us stronger and better people.  Create a positive mental picture - Once we see our goal(s) and understand the obstacles that go with them, we can create a more positive picture and mindset.   When words fail, don't say anything.  Sit in silence and listen.  Really listen. Sometimes what we listen to is what we need to hear. But it won't be the same for each person. What one person hears as positive, another could hear as a negative. But we are all in the same storm together, just different boats. When words fail, listen to what others have to say. They may share experiences that you might not have. Words are powerful things and can be used for good or bad. Words are something that we learn from. In good times and in bad,  words are something that we turn to every time. So when words fail, stop and listen. Sit in silence and remember the words that you hear.

Even though I wrote a post on this topic last year, and probably one or two other times, I wanted to share the word of the year as well as the saint of the year that I received for 2020. Found on Google and the parish website for St. Hyacinth Catholic Church in TX. The saint that I received for this year is St. Hyacinth, who I have heard of, but didn't really know much about. Thanks to the internet and a quick Google search I was able to look St. Hyacinth up and learn more about him. And what I have learned is that St. Hyacinth is the patron saint against drowning and Poland. His feast day is August 17th. Jennifer Fulwiler, the creator of both generators, shared the links on her Facebook page (and I think on Instagram/Twitter but I am not sure). As it was said in the shared posts on Facebook posts, it's that time of year again to chose a new Patron Saint and Word for 2019. This year when I did the generators for my new patron saint and word, I received St. Aloysius Gonzaga as my patron saint and Unplug as my word. Well, today is the last day of the #InstaWrimo prep month and I have enjoyed doing it all month and sharing the pictures with everyone here. Just recently I was at a talk and at the beginning of the talk the speaker had everyone stand up and introduce themselves to someone new and each person had to share a fun fact about themselves. After a minute or two we moved on to new people and shared a new fun fact with them. Once we had each talked to about four or five people everyone sat down again at their tables and the talk began. Over the past month, I have been trying to write a blog post about some of what's been going on with me since I really haven't done one of these types of posts in a while. I had some ideas of what I wanted to include in the post, but the words weren't wanting to come out the way that I wanted them too. But after this past weekend (March 3-4) I have found the words that I want to share. Tuesday evening last week I had to work late and on my way home, thankfully when it wasn't terribly windy or rainy, I was thinking about different things and I randomly combined two words together and created a new one. The word that I came up with is: Snarkastic . As you are probably wondering. Why would anyone want to combine the words snarky and sarcastic? Well people combine words all the time and create new ones and that is what I did. I also did it because I can be a bit sarcastic and snarky around my family. Like I mentioned at the beginning of this post, I had to work late and my brain is always going in multiple directions, which is how I came to making up a new word. Because a 120 letter word would be a bit hard to remember how to spell correctly all of the time, there typically aren't any words that long. And no this isn't a crossword puzzle. Instead this is a post on one of my favorite topics: knitting!!!!!! Since I have a lot of yarn sitting around and collecting dust, I wanted to make something with it. After thinking about it and looking at the color options that I have, I decided to make a relatively neutral colored baby blanket. When finished I plan on giving the blanket away, though I don't know to who to give it to yet. The name of this post came about because I am creating my own pattern for this blanket. I love the way that the stockinette stitch looks, but hate how the edges usually curl under when finished, so I am creating a border for the blanket by doing the rib stitch around the edges to keep the blanket from curling under. If I am already kind to others and show courage, why do I still need to remember to that? It is one thing to say that we are kind, or that we have courage. But it is another thing to actually live those words out. There are many different ways to show that you have courage or are kind and to actually live them out. When you say that you do those words often do you really know what they mean? Last week I had written a blog post that I was going to share, but then I changed my mind. I changed my mind on posting it because I didn't think that it was good enough to share. I had started writing another post to share. But I didn't get very far with it because I couldn't think of the right words to say. Why as humans do we have this constant need for perfection? The way that I see it is that has humans we will always have a hard time being completely perfect.
