Over the past month, I have been trying to write a blog post about some of what's been going on with me since I really haven't done one of these types of posts in a while. I had some ideas of what I wanted to include in the post, but the words weren't wanting to come out the way that I wanted them too. But after this past weekend (March 3-4) I have found the words that I want to share. Photo by  sydney Rae  on  Unsplash The reason why I said that this past weekend helped to find what I wanted to say is that I went to a two-day woman's retreat, which was being hosted by the Catholic Church that is down the street from where I live, with my mom and my older sister Amanda. Christ became obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Because of this, God greatly exalted him and bestowed on him the name which is above every other name. - PHIL 2:8-9 taken by me "Out of the darkness of my life, so much frustrated, I put before you the one great thing to love on earth: the Blessed Sacrament. . . . There you will find romance, glory, honour, fidelity, and the true way of all your loves on earth, and more than that: Death." - J. R. R. Tolkien

Scripture Writing

Image
Back in October I wrote a post about how I had come across a month long Scripture writing plan . I have been doing it every month since then. Even though it is already day 8 you can still jump in and join me in doing it this month.  taken by me Since the theme for February is love the verses for day 1 were John 3:16-17, which are two of my favorite verses and ones that everyone knows. John 3:16-17 Revised Standard Version (RSV) 16  For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.  17  For God sent the Son into the world, not to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him. The verses for days 2-7 were 1 John 4:7-21 and they explain how God is love and how love comes from God. The vorses for day 6 tell us that there is no fear in love, and that perfect love casts out fear.
