Oh Nuts

--1-- Since it has been a while I decided to do a 7 Quick Takes post today. I also decided to write this at the lovely hour of 1:00 o'clock in the morning, but that is only because I couldn't sleep. When I got up my original plan was to try and get some homework done, but that didn't happen, because of something called the internet. But that is just life. --2-- I am really loving the current forecast that we have for next week because it is going to be up in the 50's!!!!! Super excited about that, because it means that spring is finally starting to arrive and not hiding anymore.  --3-- Earlier this week I was looking at phone cases and I found this Doctor Who case  on Etsy that I really like. I found this phone case as well and it made me think of Amanda since she owns the most books out of all of us. Then there is the cool LOTR phone case . Of course the adorable Captain America and Thor phone cases are too cute not too share.  --4-- ...

As usual I was scrolling through Pinterest when I saw something that caught my eye. What caught my eye was a pattern for a Doctor Who scarf!!!!!! Of course as soon as I saw it I knew that I wanted to try and make it. Though I decided that I would at least attempt to finish two of my three current knitting projects first before I went and did this.

--- 1 --- Last week on Saturday four out of six siblings had rehearsal all day for their upcoming Christmas play "The Conversion of Scrooge,"and Aaliyah was helping out at a food pantry in the morning. So it was just me, my mom and Amanda at home, so we decided to stop over at Hobby Lobby to do some shopping. --- 2 --- Even though I usually don't like to start my Christmas shopping until after Thanksgiving I found some crafts to add to presents. For the three kids that I nanny I got them each an ornament that you could color, though I already did that. For the oldest girl that I nanny as part of her Christmas present from me I got a canvas bag and decorated it. But now that Thanksgiving is over I can start looking for the rest of the presents that I need. --- 3 --- At the end of August we started doing a clean eating plan thing and one of the smoothie recipes that you get with it is a peanut butter smoothie and I really like it so I decided to share it here ...

--- 1 --- Since I haven't done a 7 Quick Takes in a while I thought that now would be a good time since I wanted to post some thing this week but couldn't think of anything else to post and this week is almost over anyhow. --- 2 --- On Sunday we went to the Byzantine church for mass and then went out to brunch afterwards. When we came home my dad and some of my siblings cleaned up the bushes and gutters outside and then we went and watched the rest of the Chicago Bears and Atlanta Falcons game. The Bears won. After dinner me, my mom, Yavi, Amanda and her boyfriend watched this weeks episode of Once Upon a Time. "Mummy on the Orient Express", followed after OUAT's episode in our afternoon/evening of staring at the TV screen. --- 3 --- Centipedes occasionally like to crawl around either on the wall or the floor and yesterday there was one hanging out on the wall by the computer that my siblings use. --- 1 --- Last week as I was scrolling through Pinterest and I came across this: You have to go back and think about every episode with the Ponds and River Song this way. Is she just talking to them as companions of the Doctor or is she talking to them as her parents? That ^^^^^^^ is the comment that was with t\the picture when I repinned it. --- 2 --- School started again this week. This semester I am taking math, english and marketing. When I got my marketing textbook in the mail there was a can of Red Bull (which I don't drink) and I thought that it was kind of interesting and weird at the same time. My dad pointed out that it was a marketing scheme to make you interested in getting Red Bull. --- 1 --- I got to watch the second episode of Sherlock again on Sunday and I enjoyed it more the second time around since I was able to watch it all of the way through instead of having to do it in pieces. It is still my favorite Sherlock episode out of all three seasons :) --- 2 --- My mother, Yavi and Amanda started watching Downton Abbey season 4 on Sunday. I am only really watching it for the grandma because she is my favorite character. --- 3 --- On Monday the college that Yavi, Amanda and I go to had a snow day because it was incredibly cold (-2 degrees during the day and -17 in the evening) and windy. This is what it said on the Weather Channel about Monday: " Bitterly cold. Partly cloudy skies with gusty winds. Dangerous wind chills as low as -25F. High -2F. Winds WNW at 20 to 30 mph." Happy New Years Eve everyone!!!!! January: Yavi and I went out to Wachington D.C. for the 40th annual March For Life. We went with a large group from the area. Even though the day of the march was a bit cold it was still amazing to see all of the pro-life people who were there. On the way back the bus that Yavi and I were on had a singing competition and Yavi came in second place! Yavi and I also made it onto the front page of the Catholic News Service (CNS)! I had also gotten rather sick at the beginning of the month. I also went and saw Les Miserables with Yavi and my dearest mother. February: Amanda, Yavi and I finally got to meet our friend Maddy, who we had met online throught the Fairy Tale Novel books by Regina Doman and the fan forum ! Even though she played a regular companion earlier in the Doctor Who years I liked Elizabeth Sladen's character Sarah Jane Smith and how Elizabeth came back as a guest star on the show :)

--- 1 --- Going from 60 degrees at the beginning of the week, several tornadoes, lots of rain and wind, are included in that, to 26 degrees at the end of the same week. Last week on Saturday night it got down to 6 degrees. So it went from nice spring weather to really cold winter weather. When I move out, when ever that is, I want to move to someplace that doesn't have terribly cold winters or really hot summers, because I don't like extremely cold or really hot weather. Once I find out which states have mild winters and summers I will let you know when I decide to move there ;) :) --- 2 --- Tomorrow is the last day of NaNoWriMo and I haven't been to bad with my procrastination. There was only about three days total where I either didn't write at all or only wrote a couple hundred words.
