Week 2 - Books

The library, or your own house, is always a good place to find books for this week's challenge. Even though my family owns a lot of books I went across the street to the local library instead.

20 Week Photography Challenge

Image
Back in August, I had written a post about a bunch of photography challenges that I had found on Pinterest. Since I had already done several photo a day challenges I was looking for something else. taken by me After saving several photography challenges to the board I had created for them on Pinterest, I printed out three of them. Two of them were for 20-weeks. The first 20-week challenge is pretty basic and is something that I would do. The second 20-week photography challenge that I printed out is called "City Photography Challenge." Last week on Thursday, while cleaning, I pulled out a folder, that is starting to fall apart and is being held together by masking tape, I came across the three photography challenges that I had printed out and then never did anything with. While I was looking at it and sorting through papers that I was saving and throwing out, I decided that I was going to do the 20-week challenge (not the city one, though I might do it in the fut...

31 Day Blog Challenge - Introduction

Image
Welcome to 31 days of craziness here on my blog. It has been a while since I have said this, but I was on Pinterset not that long ago and as I was scrolling through I came across a blog challenge, called "31 Day Blog Challenge" or as I am going to call it "31DBC," I decided to do it. The purpose of this blog challenge is to learn something random about me each day. Day 1 is just a simple introduction about me and who I am, while not giving a ton away so that I still have something to talk about later. Anyhow, as you probably already know from my "about me" page, I am a twenty-something Pro-life, Catholic college student who still lives at home. In college I am going part-time for my Associates in Applied Science for Administrative Assistant, and while I am doing that I am also working part time. When I am not working or in school I enjoy reading, writing, photography, knitting, and baking. Spending time with my fun, some times crazy, and lovable family ...

7 Quick Takes Friday

Image
--1-- Last week on Wednesday Amanda, Yavi, Aaliyah and I went and saw the new Avengers movie since Amanda and I were both off work and we didn't know when else we would be able to see it. We all liked it. On Sunday the rest of my family went and saw it and Aaliyah and I went with and saw it again. --2-- Right now "Heartbeat Song" by Kelly Clarkson is my new favorite song.  --3-- I started doing the reading challenge that I started back in January again. It's been slow but I am doing it again and now that school is over I will have more time to read. I was able to check off several boxes with "The Lunar Chronicles" series by Marissa Meyer. Now I am re-reading "Pride and Prejudice" to knock off a couple other categories. --4-- Tuesday morning, since I was feeling a bit bored and had some time on my hands, I ran to Wal-Mart for a quick trip to see if I could find any shirts and skirts to add to my summer clothing. I di...

2015 Reading Challenge

One of the libraries near my house is handing out a large stack of papers for a reading challenge for 2015. Since we were there today I picked one up and decided to give it a try. Here is the long list for the challenge. Because my family owns a lot of books there are quite a few that we have that knock off a couple categories at once. The book I'm starting with is Grimm's Fairy Tales . A book with more than 500 pages A classic romance A book that became a movie A book published this year A book with a number in the title A book written by someone under 30 A book with nonhuman characters A funny book A book by a female author A mystery or thriller A book with a one word title A book of short stories A book set in a different country A non fiction book A popular author's first book A book from an author that you love that you haven't read yet A book a friend recommended A Pulitzer-Prize winning book A book based on a true story A book at the botto...

Day 30: When did you become a fan of Doctor Who?

Image
I guess I became a fan during season one and the Ninth Doctor :) (Though I like Matt Smith and David Tennant better) And this concludes the 30 day Doctor Who challenge that I have been doing all month long :) all images used in posts were from google except for this one :)

Day 29: Favorite Guest Star

Image
Even though she played a regular companion earlier in the Doctor Who years I liked Elizabeth Sladen's character Sarah Jane Smith and how Elizabeth came back as a guest star on the show :)

Day 27: Favorite Interview

Image
Unfortunately I have never listened/watched any interviews with past and present Doctor Who folk so I can't say that I have a favorite one. This is the only day during the Doctor Who challenge where I haven't had something that was a favorite or a least favorite. My apologies about that. Though if you are interested in doing the same Doctor Who challenge that I am doing you can find it here: I found it on pinterest in case anyone was wondering

Day 24: Favorite Quote

My favorite quote is from "The Christmas Invasion," mostly because he quotes The Lion King!!!!!! "Well, yeah, you could. Yeah, you could do that, of course you could. But why? Look at these people: these human beings. Consider their potential. From the day they arrive on the planet, and blinking step into the sun. There is more to see than can ever be seen. More to do than - no, hold on... Sorry, that's the 'Lion King'. But the point still stands."~ Doctor Who "The Christmas Invasion"

Day 23: Favorite Doctor Who Spin-off

Day 22: Favorite Friendship

My favorite doctor and companion friendship would have to be Eleven's and Clara's though they won't be together for much longer :( I would have done Donna but I put her as my favorite companion ;)

Day 21: Favorite Couple

My favorite couple is Amy and Rory!!!!

Day 20: Favorite Writer
