Oh Nuts

I know that we are just leaving the Christmas season and that you may be wondering why I am talking about themed gifts. Especially since this seems like a topic that would be helpful before Christmas day. The reason why I am posting this now is that because themed gifts work for birthdays as well as graduations, going away parties, etc. painted and photographed by me For a number of years now, instead of getting a present for every single sibling, as well as the parents, because it gets rather expensive, my family has started doing this thing where my mom puts all of the siblings names on pieces of paper and then puts it into a bowl. We are then supposed to pick a name out of the bowl and that is the sibling that we buy a present, or two, for that Christmas. taken by me Since my mom's birthday and Labor day were the same day, she wanted to celebrate this past weekend. On Saturday we started the day off, since the kids didn't have soccer, by going to look at a house that is for sale in our area. It was a pretty decent house and on a nice quiet street. After walking around the house for an hour we went out to a nearby restaurant for lunch. I have been to the place where we went for lunch a few times before and they have good food. For church on Sunday my mom wanted to go to the Byzantine Liturgy, so we went. If you haven't ever been to the Byzantine Divine Liturgy, I highly recommend that you go to one. If I had a better name for this post I would have used it, but I don't, though the title still fits how I feel this week. Monday I was supposed to go to work at one o'clock since it was the last day of break for the kids that I nanny. But the mom had to switch part of her work schedule around and ended up taking the day off, but forgot to call me ahead of time. So I ended up getting the day off. Tuesday (Yesterday, depending on when you are reading this), I had school all day and then I had to go to work after that. I didn't get home until closer to 8 p.m. Since it was AJ's birthday yesterday I quickly ate the \Italian sausage and french fries, that my family had saved me for dinner, before we sang to him and had dessert. Wednesday I had to go to work at 10:30 because the dad had to go in to work early and the youngest kids that I watch is doing part time school right now. --1-- Tuesday was a lot of fun because of the very dense fog. It was really annoying to drive in, especially when I had to deal with an intersection that is near my house. The nice thing was that in town and a decent area around my house were de-fogged on my way home from school. The fog in between was still dense and annoying. Of course the fog decided to stay around until Wednesday morning. But I was fin with the because I didn't have to leave the house until the afternoon. --2-- Besides having fog all day Tuesday and a part of Wednesday, we have been having some really nice weather. My apologies for the title being in pretty much all caps. Like I mentioned the other day about the title of Thursday's post working better for this one, the title that I have works even better because it is my birthday! Though I don't really like to publicize my birthday on the internet I decided to do it for today's 7 posts, 7 days thing since I had nothing else to do for today. Besides getting to quote "Tangled" for this post I get to share my birthday with a dear friend of mine. It was kind of funny how my friend "R" and I found out that we shared the same birthday. We had met at a week long Catholic girl's summer camp and one day during lunch the camp coordinator had all of the months separate into tables according to the month that their birthday is in.
