Oh Nuts

--1-- I finished the pillow last week. According to my siblings the pillow is the first project that I have finished in a while. It is only like that because I was trying to make a blanket with yarn that was really hard to use and figure out. And I already started working on the second pillow and I will post one or two pictures when I remember too do so. The yarn that I am using for the second pillow reminds me of cotton candy. --2-- School is going good so far. This week and last week I just had my speech class and starting on this coming Tuesday my two online classes are starting. One of my online classes is a continuation of a class that I took back in the spring, so it shouldn't be that hard and the second online class is just learning about the ins and outs of Microsoft Word. --1-- Since it's been over a month since I did my last 7 Quick Takes I decided to do another one. I am also doing it because I couldn't think of anything else to really post about that would make a long enough post by itself.  --2-- Last week after I had put this post up on my blog, I randomly decided to check the audience views to see how many different countries were viewing my blog. Needless to say I was very surprised to see all of the page views that I had from Romania. --1-- Since it is the 4th of July tomorrow I decided to do this weeks 7 Quick Takes with a different dessert for each take. While I haven't had a chance to try any of the recipes yet I thought that it would be fun to share them.  The first dessert recipe on the list is for Strawberry Blueberry Crumble . It sounds like it would be delicious and really easy to make, though I would personally leave out the almond slices. --2-- Recipe number 2 is Strawberry and Blueberry Cheesecake Icebox Cake . The creator of the recipe said that she made the dessert for Memorial Day, but I think it could be made for the 4th of July as well.  --3-- This one I am sharing simply because it looks rather interesting, and not really something that I would necessarily want to make. 1.) Last weekend was a lot of fun. On Friday the house phone went out, Saturday evening the air conditioning went out and on Sunday the power went out for a couple hours. At least there was a bit of a breeze outside, which helped with the heat a little. 2.) Saturday evening I hung out with some friends and watched Game 5 of the Stanley Cup finals. It was a lot of fun. On Monday Amanda and I met up with the same friends from Saturday to watch Game 6. Since I am from the Midwest it was exciting to see the Chicago Blackhawks beat Tampa Bay in games 5 & 6 and win the Stanley Cup. 3.) This writing prompt is one that I want to use at some point in my writing. 4.) Because everyone needs a picture of an adorable picture of a kitten to smile at. 5.) Since we had a decent amount of rain over the weekend and on Monday some of my siblings said that it was the Midwest version of Monsoon weather. --1-- Last week on Wednesday Amanda, Yavi, Aaliyah and I went and saw the new Avengers movie since Amanda and I were both off work and we didn't know when else we would be able to see it. We all liked it. On Sunday the rest of my family went and saw it and Aaliyah and I went with and saw it again. --2-- Right now "Heartbeat Song" by Kelly Clarkson is my new favorite song.  --3-- I started doing the reading challenge that I started back in January again. It's been slow but I am doing it again and now that school is over I will have more time to read. I was able to check off several boxes with "The Lunar Chronicles" series by Marissa Meyer. Now I am re-reading "Pride and Prejudice" to knock off a couple other categories. --4-- Tuesday morning, since I was feeling a bit bored and had some time on my hands, I ran to Wal-Mart for a quick trip to see if I could find any shirts and skirts to add to my summer clothing. --1-- I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! I did :) For as long as I can remember my family and I have tried to visit both sides of the family on Easter Sunday, but sometimes that doesn't end up happening. This year we went and visited my grandma in the evening on Holy Saturday. We had pizza dinner and watched the movie "Groundhog Day" on the tv since it was on. It was a funny movie. On Sunday we went to mass at our church and then came home and had my other grandparents over for dinner. After dinner and the dishes were done most of us went on the traditional walk that we take. --1-- This week was my spring break. Even though break started off with a round of snow, this week hasn't been that bad. Especially since I consider my spring break to have started on Friday last week, since I am only going two days out of the week.  --2-- To start of my break, on Saturday afternoon, Aaliyah, Rosie, and I went with some of Aaliyah's friends to the movie theater to see "Cinderella." We all loved it. Then in the evening, Amanda, Yavi and I went out to dinner with some friends to celebrate Amanda's birthday. After dinner, since Amanda and two of the friends we went out with hadn't seen it yet,  we decided to go to the movie theater down the street to see "Cinderella." Even though I had just seen the movie I still enjoyed it. --3-- Tomorrow I am going out swing dancing. There is a ballroom about an hour away from where I live and they regularly do swing dancing there and tomorrow is their annual Swinger's B...

--1-- Even though this week, with the exception of Monday, has been in the 50's and 40's I don't really care because it means that warmer weather is still on it's way and will hopefully be here sometime soon. On Monday it is supposed to be in the upper 40's and snowing. I don't want the snow right now, especially when it is officially spring. But that is one way to start of spring break I guess. --2-- I saw this on Pinterest the other day and thought that it was a really cute idea!!! --1-- Tuesday was a lot of fun because of the very dense fog. It was really annoying to drive in, especially when I had to deal with an intersection that is near my house. The nice thing was that in town and a decent area around my house were de-fogged on my way home from school. The fog in between was still dense and annoying. Of course the fog decided to stay around until Wednesday morning. But I was fin with the because I didn't have to leave the house until the afternoon. --2-- Besides having fog all day Tuesday and a part of Wednesday, we have been having some really nice weather. It's finally warm out again!!!! Though there is one day so far next week that is in the 40's, but it is still warmer than 0 degrees out which is nice for a change :) --3-- Last week I mentioned that I was going out with Amanda and some of my cousins to celebrate my birthday. --1-- Since it has been a while I decided to do a 7 Quick Takes post today. I also decided to write this at the lovely hour of 1:00 o'clock in the morning, but that is only because I couldn't sleep. When I got up my original plan was to try and get some homework done, but that didn't happen, because of something called the internet. --- 1 --- Last week on Saturday four out of six siblings had rehearsal all day for their upcoming Christmas play "The Conversion of Scrooge,"and Aaliyah was helping out at a food pantry in the morning. So it was just me, my mom and Amanda at home, so we decided to stop over at Hobby Lobby to do some shopping. --- 2 --- Even though I usually don't like to start my Christmas shopping until after Thanksgiving I found some crafts to add to presents. For the three kids that I nanny I got them each an ornament that you could color, though I already did that. For the oldest girl that I nanny as part of her Christmas present from me I got a canvas bag and decorated it. But now that Thanksgiving is over I can start looking for the rest of the presents that I need. --- 3 --- At the end of August we started doing a clean eating plan thing and one of the smoothie recipes that you get with it is a peanut butter smoothie and I really like it so I decided to share it here ...

- 1 - Last weekend was my cousin's wedding, which was a lot of fun. Even though it was kind of dark in the hall where the reception was held I was able to take a couple pictures.
