7 Quick Takes Friday
Last week on Saturday four out of six siblings had rehearsal all day for their upcoming Christmas play "The Conversion of Scrooge,"and Aaliyah was helping out at a food pantry in the morning. So it was just me, my mom and Amanda at home, so we decided to stop over at Hobby Lobby to do some shopping.
Even though I usually don't like to start my Christmas shopping until after Thanksgiving I found some crafts to add to presents. For the three kids that I nanny I got them each an ornament that you could color, though I already did that. For the oldest girl that I nanny as part of her Christmas present from me I got a canvas bag and decorated it. But now that Thanksgiving is over I can start looking for the rest of the presents that I need.
At the end of August we started doing a clean eating plan thing and one of the smoothie recipes that you get with it is a peanut butter smoothie and I really like it so I decided to share it here since there isn't that much to it.
Though it took us a little while to get around to watching them we finished watching the last three episodes of Doctor Who. The last scene in the second half of the final was funny. Sunday was also the 51st birthday/anniversary of Doctor Who.
At dinner on Sunday we had started talking about "The Lord of the Rings" some how and we decided that the dwarves were bikers because of their beards, the elves were high class society, the hobbits were the hard working party loving people, who don't like going on adventures. The orcs, we decided, were the government.
Since we are still on the subject of LOTR I thought that this would be appropriate to share :)

- 1 cup almond milk
- 1/2 banana, frozen (or you can do a whole banana)
- 1/2 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1/2 tablespoon natural peanut butter
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 ice cubs.
- 1/2 scoop plain protein powder (the powder is in case you don't want to use a banana and haven't had any protein with a meal yet)

Last week while I was on Pinterest I came across this hat pattern and though I haven't started it yet, I thought that I would give the pattern a try at some point. And a picture of the hand warmers that I made for my brother will be up here soon.
