Instead of hitting the beaches/pools for Labor Day, like we did (or attempted to do) last year, my family and I went hiking/walking instead. My mom was calling it a romp through the woods. After starting the day off with morning mass at the church that we attend and filling up water bottles and grabbing a snack, we set off to a forest preserve that is a couple minutes north of where we live. taken by me :) When we found a parking spot, there was a lot of people there, we started walking in the direction of the waterfall. *points to picture* Since it had been a number of years since any of us had been in this particular forest preserve we all forgot how far it was from where we had parked to where the waterfall was. By the time we reached the waterfall we had walked 3.5 miles one way. Since we were all rather tired from the long, hot walk we had just done, the cold water felt wonderful. --1-- Since it's been over a month since I did my last 7 Quick Takes I decided to do another one. I am also doing it because I couldn't think of anything else to really post about that would make a long enough post by itself.  --2-- Last week after I had put this post up on my blog, I randomly decided to check the audience views to see how many different countries were viewing my blog. Needless to say I was very surprised to see all of the page views that I had from Romania. Normally the US is on top with a couple other countries underneath.  <--- That is from Sunday when I checked the page views again to see if anything had changed at all.  --3-- With school starting right around the corner, literally, because it starts on Tuesday for me, I thought I would do something for one of my quick takes. --- 1 --- --- 2 --- --- 3 --- On Tuesday Roseycheeks had a tea party with a bunch of her friends for her tenth birthday. Though I had to work they all had a good time :) Since it is a tradition since we started having tea parties for all of us girls on our tenth birthdays she also had all of the girls who came bring flowers for a friendship bouquet. Here are pictures that I took of the flowers :) --- 4 --- On Wednesday I had a doctor's appointment so my mother and I went to morning mass together and then drove to the office. Since we were a bit early we stopped at Caribou Coffee and got something. I had the Carrot Cake Muffin, which was delicious, and their cold Peach black tea, with sparkling water, you could get it with non sparkling water as well ;), that was good as well. My mom got a coffee and a raspberry scone. There was a cute looking tea shop next door but both my mother and I agreed that the tea shop that's closer to us is cuter....
