Curly-Edge Hats

Since the cooler weather has finally arrived, YAY!! I started working on kitting a curly-edge hat. Please bear with me because I can't remember if I have already shared this pattern on here before. In case I haven't the pattern I am sharing is from the book "Kids Knitting: Projects for kids of all ages" by Melanie Falick. I have made this hat multiple times before, two times were as baby hats, and once for a stuffed animal.

Since I just started working on a hat in this pattern I thought that it would be fun to share it here. The hat that I am currently making is another baby hat and the yarn that I am using to make it with is "Loops & Threads: Neopolitan." If I remember too, I will try and post a picture or two of the hat once it is finished. So that you can start making your own curly-edge hat, here is the pattern.

With size 10 1/2 and 1 skein bulky yarn, cast on 72 stitches. Work in stockinette stitch until your work measures 8". Decrease as follows: Row 1: knit two together, repeat all the way across (36 stitches remaining). Row 2: Purl. Row 3 and 4: Repeat rows 1 and 2 (18 stitches remaining). Row 5:Repeat row 1 (9 stitches remaining). Cut yarn and thread end through  remaining 9 stitches, pull to tighten. Sew seam.

Since it is a easy pattern to follow it won't take long to make and you can make multiple hats at a time.
