O Oriens, splendor lucis aeternae,

et sol justitiae:

veni, et illumina sedentes in tenebris,

et umbra mortis.

O Radiant Dawn, splendor of eternal light, sun of justice:

Come, shine on those who dwell in darkness

and the shadow of death.
