Fourth Week of Advent
“For at the moment the sound of your greeting reached my ears,
the infant in my womb leaped for joy.
Blessed are you who believedthat what was spoken to you by the Lordwould be fulfilled.” Luke 1
On this last Sunday of Advent,
we quietly reflect on the mystery.
We rest in awe, in wonder,at how our God entered our world and came to be with us.We pause to receive the gift offered us:that the Spirit of God will open up our lives andthat Jesus will really come into our hearts.
May we have watchful hope today,
believing what the Lord promises us.
Let us pray today, that we might be God's servants,that we might be instruments of God's lovefor our families and all we serve this week.
...Elizabeth, filled with the Holy Spirit,,
cried out in a loud voice and said,
“Blessed are you among womenand blessed is the fruit of your womb.” Luke 1
Lord, make us turn to you;
let us see your face and be saved. Psalm 80
... from you shall come forth for me
one who is to be ruler in Israel;
whose origin is from ancient times. Micah 5
O LORD AND RULER
of the House of Israel,
who appeared to Moses in the flame of the burning bush and gave him the law on Sinai: Come, and redeem us with outstretched arms.
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel!
