$4,279.26 and Counting
Just from going to the library on a regular basis I have saved $4,279.26. Living right across the street from the local library helps with that because in the two years since we have lived by the library I have gone there more than when we lived several minutes away and didn't go as often. Anyhow, I didn't come to bore you all with talking about books and what I've read recently. This is more of a random talk about what's been going on in my life sort of post.
Originally I was going to write this post last week but the words weren't wanting to come out the way that I wanted them too, so I am trying again. And since I haven't written a general, sometimes rambling, post on what has been happening lately I thought that I would include it all in one post.
Last week was finals week and it was also the last week of my second to last semester of college, which feels like I have been doing forever. This semester I ended up taking four classes instead of three like I had been doing. This is because the class I was supposed to take over the summer was canceled because not enough people had signed up for it, so I had to take it in the fall. I also had to start over with a Gen Ed science class since I had to drop the science class that I was taking last year during the fall. Even with taking four classes, two of which were 8 weeks each, I finished the semester with an A, two B's and a C, which is pretty good.
For the past month or so I have been working on two different blankets that I will be giving away as presents, and I will do my best to write posts on both of them once they are given away. In the meantime, I will keep working on them so that they will be finished in time.
This past Sunday we put up all of our Christmas decorations and this year we have two trees because our grandparents gave us theirs. So our tree is in the front window with all of the ornaments on it and the other tree is in the back room and has a rustic theme to it. By rustic I mean white lights red ribbon wrapped loosely around it and a big bow on top. It looks very nice and is different from what we have done before and everyone likes it. And on Friday is the third annual caroling event that my family has organized, even though it will be a bit chilly.
Anyhow that is what has been happening lately. And if anyone is wondering, even though it's almost a month late, I didn't finish NaNoWriMo last month. I ended up stopping about halfway through because I was losing steam and had run out of ideas, though I had a plot this year for my story. Maybe next year it will go better. But we shall have to wait and see about that.
