Why so Silent, Good Messieurs?

While I have been a bit silent lately, I have not forgotten this small corner of the world. Several weeks ago I did start working on a blog post, but it is still far from finished. But I will hopefully have it written and posted soon. In the meantime, I thought I would pop in share a little bit of what my life has been like lately.

To start off the Friday before Memorial day I went and got my hair cut. While that isn't anything out of the ordinary but it does showcase the curliness of my hair. My hair has always had a bit of a wave/curl to it but I never did anything with it until I got my hair cut. Shortly before I went and got it cut my sister had started looking into natural shampoos and other natural hair products to use. And that is part of what got me started with wanting to cut my hair. Because I wanted to start trying stuff on shorter hair rather than longer hair. The shampoo and conditioner that I recently started using is Every Strengthening + Brazilian Keratin Shampoo and Condition from OGX. And I like it. To help the curls stay in I use Maui Moisture: Curl Quench + Coconut Oil Curl Smoothie. All three products are sulfate and silicone free.

Now that we are done talking about hair products some other things that have happened lately includes my younger brother graduated from 8th grade and my mom graduated from being a grade school teacher and now has two high schoolers at home. As well as my car officially becoming undrivable. What that means is that one of the wheel bearings came off and it isn't supposed too. For right now I have to share a car with my sister while I figure out how to pay for a new car since my old car really isn't worth fixing at this point because it would cost a lot to try and fix the wheel bearing.

I know I did a post on this not that long ago, but I figured I would include it again in this post. While there aren't that many posts on it at the moment the knitting blog that I started, The Knit Potato, is still around and I put a post up the other week about one of the projects that I am working on. The Instagram account that I have with the same name is still going strong and I also have a Facebook page for The Knit Potato. I started the Facebook page as a way for people who might not have Instagram to see all of the pictures of what I am working on as well as any memes that I share. That is also where I mainly share blog posts from the blog. Though I do share them to my personal page as well.

Besides going to a friend's wedding earlier this month and another friend's wedding to go to next month not a whole lot is happening. But that can be an okay thing to have sometimes. In the meantime, I will continue to work on the other post that I started as well as share other tidbits and whatnot here on the blog.

--- 1 --- The other day I was feeling a bit bored so I made a couple covers for the story that I started working on. --- 2 --- A couple of weeks ago I was looking up pictures of the minons from "Despicable Me", don't remember why, but while I was scrolling down the page I came across this minion picture: --- 3 --- I found this on Pinterest a while back... --- 4 --- On Sunday we had to shovel snow off the driveway.
