7 Quick Takes Friday
Though I haven't started making it yet I found a pattern for a afghan/blanket, which I mentioned in my quick takes from last week. The squares have been sitting in a pile for sine the beginning of last week. But I have started making different balls of all of the colors that I will be using for the blanket. Here is the link to the pattern that I will be using for the afghan!
Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.
Divine Master,
grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love;
grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love;
for it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying
that we are born to eternal life.
When I first started this blog back in July I said that I would explain why I choose the name for my blog later and it is now the beginning of October and I am just getting to the explanation behind the name of my blog now. But I suppose that's what I get for being a bit of a procrastinator.it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying
that we are born to eternal life.
Before I started this blog I had mentioned on my old blog that I wanted to use a part from a song by Josh Groban called Brave. I tried a couple different parts of the lyrics but I didn't like any of the ones that I picked. Once I saw the quote by Pope Francis that is in my header I knew I had to use the last two words. To me the quote means that no matter how hard or difficult our tasks are, or what Jesus whats from us we still have to be brave. and that is why I picked that as the name for my blog :)
