7 Quick Takes Friday

With "Catching Fire" coming to theaters this months I made these computer backgrounds :) The first background is my favorite :)

In case you forgot today starts NaNoWriMo or National Novel Writing Month :) It technically started at midnight but what ever ;) As the month and my story progresses I shall do my best to keep you updated on how the writing is going and I might even share a couple procrastination questions that I will be filling out when I get bored :)
I finally started knitting the blanket that I had mentioned here a couple times. Here is the link to the pattern, though I am not following the pattern exactly. When I have more of it done I'll post a picture or two of the work in progress. Here is a refresher on what the colors that I am using look like :)

Since I am on the subject of making blankets, I have been working on the blanket that I started making out of old t-shirts and flannel sheets. I have three rows left to sew on. Though, if you want to get technical, it's two and a half because I ran out of bobbin thread while I was sewing one of the rows on to the rest of the blanket and the new thread doesn't want to get pulled up under the needle so I have to work on that some more before I can finish sewing it :) When it's complete I'll post a picture or two on here :)
Happy All Saints Day :)

Father, All-Powerful and ever-living God,
today we rejoice in the holy men and women
of every time and place.
May their prayers bring us your forgiveness and love
We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
(Prayer for All Souls Day taken from the Liturgy of the Hours)

(It is also know as All Hallows, Solemnity of All Saints, or The Feast of All Saints)
Sunday I was taking a couple pictures of flowers and I took thins one and I really like how it turned out :)

I had found this a while ago on the internet and I was going to use it for something but I forgot what it was that I was going to use it for.

Your blanket looks like a lot of fun to make - I love making huge, squishy afghans, too.
