31 DBC: Favorite Quote

Even though I have many favorite quotes I already knew which one I was going to use for this post. I came across this post when I put it as the background on my computer. When I first had it as my background I hadn't really read it until I was on my computer several weeks ago and I really read it.

"Don't change so people will like you. Be yourself and the right people will love the real you."

This is my favorite quote because it is true in today's world. In today's world we have to look a certain way and dress the same and have clicks, but we are better then that. Because no matter what anyone says I am not going to accept the world's standards for how I should look, act, and think, for myself. If I did that I wouldn't be true to who I am as a person.

When we are all thinking and acting the same, who will turn the world into a better place? Instead of following the rules set by today's society create your own rules and change the world. I know that there is the age old saying that "Rome wasn't built in a day," well the world wasn't built in a day either. So if we are our real selves then the people we are meant to be with will love us for just being us and no one else. And all of the people who claimed to want to be our friends will melt away and blend in with today's rules and regulations. But we can change that one person at a time.

Even if we annoy the heck out of people, one of the best ways to start changing the world is to be nice to the people around us, even if they don't notice or are rude. So stand out and make a small difference in someone's life and gently change them for the better with an act of kindness.

--- 1 --- The other day I was feeling a bit bored so I made a couple covers for the story that I started working on. --- 2 --- A couple of weeks ago I was looking up pictures of the minons from "Despicable Me", don't remember why, but while I was scrolling down the page I came across this minion picture: --- 3 --- I found this on Pinterest a while back... --- 4 --- On Sunday we had to shovel snow off the driveway.
